Easy Ways To Add A "Pop" of Color For Summer 2018

I'm a huge fan of monotone outfits however as summer came around I decided to start to really mix things up with adding colors to my wardrobe, and here's how you can too!

I started with just wearing all white and adding just a pop color, changing up my heels to a bright color became an instant change! There are so many ways to add that little extra "pop" even with just a lipstick, try a red for that classic chic look or add some earring in a rich yellow. If you're feeling a little more daring invest in a bright purse in a hot pink/ orange/blue or green!

Once you become comfortable start to mix those bold colors to really create that a maximum impact.

Orange & Blue

Orange and blue is the perfect color scheme to use for a color blocking technique. Opt for blue pants and add an orange top or choose a piece that mixes the perfect blend of both colors. For something a little different, try a burnt orange mix with a darker navy blue.

Purple & Coral

Coral is flattering for all skin tones, and the deep rich tones of purple give it just the right amount of contrast to ensure it’s not too striking. Try a coral top matched with a bright purple bag or shoe and break it up a little with some gold accessories.

Blue and Turquoise

Combine cobalt blue with turquoise and you have a color match that is powerful and bright. Think ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and wear this color combination with elegance and class. You don’t necessarily need to break it up with a neutral color like white or cream, and it’s one of those combinations that can look great with both silver and gold accessories making a versatile styling partnership.

Green and Yellow

There’s nothing crisper than the smell of freshly cut grass on a warm summer day, and this color combination is just that. Fresh and clean, green and yellow looks great on most complexions.

Pink & Orange

Now when you pair these colors it can really make people stop and stare. If you want to go all out combine Pink & Orange.

Remember you can start small wearing monotone and adding just one bold accessory. Just try adding one piece of color and take it from there!
