Maternity Style
I am a mom of two kiddos my eldest daughter now 11 and my little boy 6, I can totally relate to all my mom's to be.
Here are my little tips and tricks for that baby bump.
First of all bodycon dresses and other materials that are stretchy are your best friend Look for dresses that have some stretch that will grow with your bump. Show off your pregnant belly (pregnancy is a beautiful thing!) instead of hiding it.
I love that this one by Leith hugs your figure yet is incredibly comfortable enough to not be constricting. It’s the perfect non-maternity dress to wear while pregnant! Try wearing it with tights and booties, but this dress is incredibly versatile! You could even add one more layer with this cardigan.
Look for dresses with length. As the bump gets bigger, the front of the dress may hike up more. I always look for knee-length or midi-length non-maternity dresses that will allow your bump some room to grow. I prefer them to also be a stretchy material, as previously stated because they hug the bump better! This dress by Treasure & Bond is the perfect length for pregnancy. I also like that it can be dressed up or down! If worn casual pair with a classic flannel shirt tied under your bump, add these comfortable Adidas casual sneakers, and my favorite new backpack from Rebecca Minkoff backpack
I highly recommend some great Spanx maternity leggings (higher price point but worth the investment) since these are super comfortable go to for every mom to be pair with a lace trim light-weight sweater and swap out for more chunky sweater as the weather becomes dare I say colder....(Gotta love Michigan Winters)
Last but not least invest in at least one pair of high-quality jeans these will quickly become a staple and easy to dress up or down a great pair of jeans.
Try AG Secret Fit Belly Destructed Legging Ankle Maternity Jeans or a classic AG Jeans Secret Fit Belly Legging Ankle Maternity Jeans
Remember this is a special time in your life and celebrate your body.
