5 Reasons You Should Dress Well

The past week I conducted my own experiment to prove how the way we dress can influence our overall energy.   Monday I decided to wear casual gym clothing with running shoes for the whole work week! Being the active person I am I felt more "hands-on" with actually doing more physical activities at home.  However work mode kinda slipped, I felt very unproductive and an overall feeling of low self-confidence.

Here are my reasons why dressing well should be an important part of your daily habit:

1. it makes a good impression

Making a good impression is always important, and its one of the best reasons why to dress well too. When you look good, people notice.

2. PROMOTES SELF-RESPECT

Following on from the last point - If you take the time, effort and pride into dressing sharp, you will undoubtedly radiate an image of self-respect and self-worth. People will see you and think positively of you as it’s clear you respect yourself. Furthermore, a sharply dressed man will radiate a sense of worth. People will see you in your clean, fitted clothing and they will start to think that you are worthy of their time and company.

3.  Dressing WeLL WILL KEEP YOU PRODUCTIVE

It is easy to feel lazy when lounging around in a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt. But when you are dressed to impress, you will be more motivated to get work done. So if you ever have a big day ahead of you, get dressed up and you won’t be able to help but be productive. A big boost in productivity? Just another reason to dress well.

4. DRESS THE MESSAGE
The clothes you wear and the way you groom yourself will change the way other people hear what you say. It will subconsciously tell them if you’re like them or if you’re different. It will determine whether they listen or ignore. Trust or distrust.

5. IT WILL GIVE YOU CONFIDENCE

Nothing feels better than walking down the street in an outfit that makes you feel magnificent. A winning outfit might be just the confidence boost you need to take on the day. And when you feel wonderful in an outfit, a sidewalk feels more like a catwalk.

Try changing up your look and see if you notice a difference in the way how others address you, and how you feel about yourself.
